Happy Summer Jazz Lovers!
It has been a very busy, very rewarding spring of musical experiences: The Jacksonville Jazz Festival, the Lakeside Jazz Festival, the Legacy Jazz Festival for NEFJA, presenting vocal & trumpet clinics at FMEA in Tampa with Jeremy as the Allstate drummer, Lincoln Center with Jeremy and the Douglas Anderson Jazz Ensemble1, releasing our debut CD “Just Swingin’!” for the Swingin’ Allstars and JB’s “With All My Love” CD of the UNF JE 1 with Ed Calle, a fabulous first concert of the Swingin’ Allstars for the Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Society, and so many more musical highlights to start out the year! We can’t thank enough the presenters and many gracious fans who’s support made it possible to share our music with an even broader audience. Again, we thank you.
Here are a few performances to plug into your calendar with more dates to come. For us, this will be a summer of writing music for a new CD project and performing, I’ll be teaching private voice lessons at First Coast Community Music School (PH: 904-646-2004), JB will be teaching a “Summer A” class at UNF, and we’ll be involved in summer music camps. My dad is touring Canada as a member of the “Harmonicats,” Jeremy is graduating from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, playing gigs and heading off to college in the fall for his music degree. Have a wonderful summer and hope to see you at the gig!
