Long regarded as one of the preeminent jazz vocalists in the southeast, Lisa Kelly is the winner of 8 Downbeat Magazine awards for singing, composing, and arranging. Profiled among 120 internationally regarded artist/educators in the 2010 book, The New Face of Jazz, and a 2013 Jacksonville Jazz Festival “HOF” Inductee for her artistry, mentoring, and contributions to the festival and jazz community. Celebrating a 40-year career of singing jazz and co-releasing 7 well received music CDs, Lisa has performed throughout the greater U.S and internationally, from jazz dinner clubs, and corporate events, to cruise ships, jazz society concerts, radio programs, major concert halls and festivals. Lisa is known for her relaxed, sophisticated presence, her truly natural sense of soulful intimacy of a lyric and artful spontaneity of improv. Collaborating with years of experience in the music genre, the group features flamboyant virtuoso trumpeter JB Scott, former musical director and trumpeter of the world-famous Dukes of Dixieland in New Orleans. On vocals is award winning jazz chanteuse Lisa Kelly, known for her light, smooth tone and swinging delivery of melody, lyric, and stylistic improv. Rounding out the “all-star” cast are top-shelf music artists authentic in the style, from banjo & guitar, keyboards, and clarinet, to trombone, acoustic bass, and drums, with the group size tailored to fit the performance event.
